INTRODUCTION
Python is a widely used high-level programming language for general-purpose programming, created by Guido van Rossumand first released in 1991. An interpreted language, Python has a design philosophy which emphasises code readability(notably using whitespace indentation to delimit code blocks rather than curly brackets or keywords), and a syntax which allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than possible in languages such as C++ or Java. The language provides constructs intended to enable writing clear programs on both a small and large scale.
Python features a dynamic type system and automatic memory management and supports multiple programming paradigms, including object-oriented, imperative, functional programming, and procedural styles. It has a large and comprehensive standard library.
Python interpreters are available for many operating systems, allowing Python code to run on a wide variety of systems. CPython, the reference implementation of Python, is open source software and has a community-based development model, as do nearly all of its variant implementations.
SETTING UP OF PYTHON
Please follow the following steps for setting up Python in respective operating systems:-
WINDOWS

- Go to the following link and download the latest application.

- Now go to the start menu and search for IDLE
LINUX

Click the Unity icon in the upper-left corner of the screen.

Type "Ubuntu Software Center" into the search bar, and wait for a few seconds.

Look for the Ubuntu Software Center icon. Click it and wait until the application opens.

Find the search bar in the upper-right corner of the window. Type "IDLE" or "Python" into it. You will see the list displayed on the image.

Select the version that you want. Then click the Install button on the right side of the window.
- You will be asked to enter your password so the installer can have root access. Enter the password for your account.

Wait for the installation to finish. It usually takes about 10 seconds.
MAC
- Download the Mac OS X 64-bit/32-bit installer (not the PPC installer) from the Python website.
- Double-click the python-3.6.1-macosx10.6.pkg file in the Downloads folder.
- If you have Gatekeeper enabled, the installation will be blocked. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy and click Open Anyway.
- Click Continue, Agree and Install buttons in the Install Python window.
Open Terminal again and enter python --version.It should now read Python 3.6.1
